I'm honored to announce that I've been selected to display my work in the window of The Beck, a creative hub, shop, and gallery dedicated to promoting Hudson Valley designers, artists, and makers. Since The Beck opened in 2020, Ana Claudia Sculz and Aaron Smyle have showcased some of the most refined contemporary talents working in the area. The first time I visited, well before I came to know the people behind the space, I remarked to my husband that this was the kind of place that I wanted to see my work in one day, so it's been an absolute treat to have the opportunity to feature my work there.

The collection itself is a cross section of both wheel thrown and hand built functional ceramic art, exploring techniques and themes that I have been showcasing over the last couple of years, as well as some new approaches. It mines the iconography of traditional crafts like quilting, relief printing, and more to create new ways of looking at themes that have been important underpinnings of my work for some time--generational connection through craft traditions and objects, complicated grief, and a return to tactile awareness at a time of increasingly ephemeral material culture.

This work is on display from April to the end of June. All pieces are available for purchase. Please visit thebeckrhinebeck.com for pricing and inquiries.
